Hello P.J. Pappas team As a new customer, I want to say that I was very pleased with the first encounter I had with your company. I had an irrigation system installed six years ago. It is a Rain Bird Equipment system and works well. The company that installed it correctly, but I found it difficult to do business with them once it was installed. For the past few years, I only contracted a service (Sprinkler Man) to turn the system on and off. I recently had a new brick walkway installed and your Web Site caught my eye. It is a very impressive Web Site and your offering is extensive. I saw the mid season tune up and the sentence “Sometimes sprinkler systems need to be adjusted or maybe your landscape has changed.” And this was exactly what happened to me and what I needed.
After making a call to Pappas to explain the situation and that I was no longer a customer of any other company, Pappas sent Brent out the next day. Brent was professional, knowledgeable and very helpful making suggestions that he was prepared to implement immediately because he had all the system components on the truck, which was another indication that I was dealing with a company that is prepared to repair, replace or modify a system without having to make another appointment. Bottom line is

Peter Pappas arranged to meet for an estimate promptly and showed up when he said he would. Workers showed up within a couple of days when Mr. Pappas said the work would be performed. At least eight workers showed up with what looked like state of the art equipment and both my front and back yards were finished within three to four hours. Workers were very efficient and did what I consider a very good job. They left my yard looking neat and there was not a lot of evidence of the work that was just performed. The supervisor took the time to explain the programing of the timer in detail.

I first contacted P.J. Pappas Company in the spring of 1998 when my wife and I built a house in Woburn. Peter Pappas came out the same day and provided us with a detailed estimate and information about his company and services. We were very impressed with Peter and his company. We decided to wait on the having the irrigation system installed.
Seven years and two kids later, we were ready to have an irrigation system installed. We contacted Peter Pappas in August, 2005 and he not only remembered who we were but he also had our original specifications and estimate. Peter took the time to go over the changes and updates to the irrigation system and made us feel comfortable with the process.
Our landscaping project included having our front lawn and shrubs replaced. Peter and his team coordinated the installation of the irrigation system on schedule. When we contracted for a major renovation of my back yard in 1999, the landscape contractor recommended the P.J. Pappas Company for the irrigation work. Peter came by, we discussed the various options, and we accepted his proposal.
It was about noon the day they arrived. I was surprised to see such a clean and nicely decorated truck, so I went out to talk with the crew. The first thing I noticed was that they brought their own trash barrel! I have had a number of contractors working on my house renovation, and they all left the small trash for my disposal. Secondly, I was totally impressed with the truck's interior. Neat, hardwood plywood bins held the various sprinkler parts needed for the installation. These guys are organized, I thought.
With their lunch bags in the barrel, the crew then spread out over the yard.
The amazing thing was they worked in parallel, each performing his assigned task without needing to wait on another to finish. The project just came together perfectly, and they were gone. Not a trace of their presence remained, except, of course, for my excellent irrigation system.
The following year they installed the irrigation system for our front yard which was undergoing an extensive rebuild. It was a repeat performance.
Since then we have needed some additional work for new gardens, and Peter has always responded quickly and efficiently.
We only wish all the contractors we have hired were as efficient and competent as the P.J. Pappas Company. We highly recommend them.

I contacted P.J. Pappas in the spring of 2000. They responded to my request in a timely manner and quoted me a price that was not only very competitive but the quality of the equipment for the irrigation system was better than the competition.
