Winterizing – Lawn Sprinkler Systems

Oct 23, 2017 | Homepage News, News

Starting October 1st, we will begin winterizing sprinkler systems.  This usually takes around 4 weeks to complete.

If you have the Alleviator Valve, there is nothing you need to do ahead of time.  The technician can turn the water off from the outside via the Alleviator Valve and winterize the sprinkler system.  He will leave a tag when this has been completed.  Please be sure that the sprinkler clock is then turned “OFF” for the winter.  You DO NOT need to unplug the clock.

If you DO NOT have the Alleviator Valve, you will receive a postcard and telephone call reminding you to have the water shut off inside to the sprinkler system by October 1st.  The technician will come during the month of October to winterize the sprinkler system and will leave you a tag when this has been completed.  Please be sure that the sprinkler clock is then turned “OFF” for the winter.  You DO NOT need to unplug the clock.
